While I was in the gym this morning doing stretching exercises I saw a blind man with a cane approaching me. I was a bit shocked because I have never seen a blind man in the gym. Or maybe I haven’t been in the gym enough to see one.
Well anyway, I was surprised. He was tapping his cane and getting closer to me and I didn’t know if I should move out of the way or make a sound. I did nothing. He tapped his cane and started moving to the side of me before we collided.
As I walked home, I thought to myself “Do you have to see in order to DO?”
This blind man didn’t need to see in order to workout.
Why do we think we need to see in order to do?
What is it that you believe you have to see in order to do?
And what’s the world missing by you not doing?
