I’m sitting here thinking “How did I miss that?” … How did I miss not paying attention to Women’s Human Rights for 50-years.
I love my mother. I love my sisters. I love the women in my family. And I love my friends.  How did I miss not paying attention to what’s been going on with women?
Now that I think of it, I didn’t miss it, I just let it slip my mind. My Aunt Lois used to be my guiding light on how to act right with women or anyone else for that matter. She’s been gone for some time now, which makes me realize one thing that I miss about her. I miss the accountability for treating women as this gentleman is supposed to.

As I take this moment to see her looking down from heaven on me, I can see her smiling and saying “that’s my nephew!” And she is saying that because the first step to caring about women is to ask one woman what she is struggling with.
