I’m finding myself going back to the basics in marketing. I am working on my next deal and it’s in acupuncture. My first step is to do a search on acupuncture and marketing. What I found is that everyone has an opinion on what marketing is or isn’t.
So now I am now compelled to share mine. Here goes….

Q: Why does mindset exist?
A: Mindset is the way we think about something which is fueled by attitudes, beliefs, constraints and experiences we hold.
Q: What is mindset for?
A: To make decisions or not make them. To do something or not do something.
Q: Why does mindset matter when it comes to marketing?
A: Mindset means direction. Mindset means commitment. Mindset means courage. Mindset means capabilities. Mindset means confidence. All in all, how you think about marketing will directly impact how much you get or not get out of marketing.
Q: Why does marketing exist?
A: Marketing is in the “persuading” business. Marketing is in the “sweet-talking” business. Marketing is in the “listen to us” business. Marketing is in the “get to know us” business. Marketing is in the “you have a problem” business. Marketing is in the “you didn’t know” business. Marketing is in the “we will help you” business. Marketing is in the “you aren’t enough” business. Marketing is in the “storyteller” business.
When I tease out the intention of marketing and the intention of mindset, it’s crystal clear that the keys to success in both is taking the time to know what both mean to you. Take the time to clear your head from all the constraining beliefs so that you can get the most of it.
