It’s so easy to focus on when we have failed.
It’s even easier to focus on what we don’t have.
It’s effortless to focus on what isn’t in our favor.
How does focus on any of these positions best serve us?
Does it inspire us to do more or nothing at all?
In a previous post I focused on if I had what it takes.
After reading that post out loud to my friend and fellow artist Duane Morton, he said “when have you not had what it takes?” in a voice only those who know Duane can understand.
After hanging up the phone, I thought more about when I have had what it took.
And you know what….
….A majority of the time I have had what it took. I’m not talking the majority that is 51%. I’m talking over 80% and when it really mattered an even higher percentage.
Thanks Duane for sharing what the other side of the coffee mug looks like….
